It’s midnight and I’m still here

Hey guys, I’m still working, lately I’ve been very busy, doing lots of things, different projects, all of them interesting, challenging, and fun. Because, in the end life is about that: having fun, don’t you think? There are some days that are just like these for me, full of deadlines, but I consider myself a multi-task person, I mean, I can be doing several things at the same time, and I am ok. I am the kind of person who becomes more creative when I am under pressure. Anyway, I am excited about tomorrow, which is Lenguas 10th anniversary, because it is the same when you are planning a party: you expect that everything comes fine, and I am sure that it will.

Talking about a different thing let me tell you that last Tuesday, when we went to the art gallery La Casa Tomada I actually had a lot of fun, and honestly I thought that the kind of reactions you would have would be kind of negative. But, sursprisingly for everybody it turned out to be a cool experience, and I could notice it in your faces and in the comments you made. I appreciate you were there because I believe that art is probably one of the best thing humanity owns. Think about it, what would happen if we delete from the history of the humanity all the art what do we have left? Nothing but wars, anger, death.

Ok, here’s today’s topic: Let’s imagine that you have enough money to buy one art piece to decorate your living room which one would you buy? Would you buy a painting? a drawing? a picture? an sculpture? a poem? Remember that money is not an issue for you. So, please in your comments mention:

  1. Which art piece(s) did you enjoy watching at La Casa Tomada?
  2. Which art piece(s) did you enjoy watching at the University gallery?
  3. What do you think about art or artists?

I understand that also some of you guys didn’t go to the art gallery, that is fine, but you can still comment about your favorite artist or piece of art.

Meanwhile, here’s one of my favorite artists: Wassily Kandinsky, and my favorite painting of his is this. So if I had a lot of money I’d buy this painting to decorate my living room because this painting to me represents the whole world, its beauty, it chaos, and its simplicity at the same time. Ok, gotta go to bed, it’s 1:00 am and tomorrow it’s going to be a though day. See ya’ around!

P.s.: Here are the pictures that Beth took last Monday. Enjoy them, and also post the one you took at the gallery, please.

Hi everybody. Well, i like a lot the art of van gogh, i love it. I like all his paints, i don’t know why, it’s just that i like me so much. if i have money, i’ll bought a paint, but the reallity is this: they are very expensive. for this reason i bought a posters, i just spend a 4 o 5 pesos. In the casa tomada i like the “party”, because remember me my strange dreams jeje. the house was decorated whit a lot of imagination and creativity. i like but i don’t like the house for live in, because in some moments, it’s scared to me. Well, see you in the next class and good luck in your exams… and the oral exam too.

Hi teacher:

Well, I just went to “La casa tomada” and it was a different and nice experience because I never had gone to a gallery like that. The pictures about virtual Guanajuato (Tepetapa river or malls in “la Plaza de La Paz”) were the things more enjoy for me in this visit.

Talking about your questions I really don´t know much about art so I don´t have some favorite artist, painting or picture.

I see you later.

HIII!!

Well I didn´t go to “La Casa Tomada” but for your comment Jesus sounds great and I would like visit it.

I love the art, It´s the best that could happen to the poor human being because by that movement could evolve and find the correct way.

I like the surrealist art, for it concept about the dreams and the unconscious, one of my favorite pictures of this kind of art It´s “La persistencia de la memoria” of Salvador Dali It´s very cool.

well that´s all.

see you.

The art: the soul’s expressions

At first I have to say I enjoyed the visit to La Casa Tomada and to University Gallery.

At beginning La Casa Tomada surprise me because the art showed here is very different. I have to admit this art is not my favorite; however I try to have my opened mind and enjoy all the expressions.

It enjoyed many pieces of La Casa Tomada, for example the photo’s collection which with simple things how a toilet paper the artists could create photos amazing. Also I liked the phrases written on the walls, on the roof and on the flat although some was stranges. Really I think this gallery would can help so that the youngs know the art. The youngs always look for differents expressions.

For talking about University gallery first I want to say that the abstract art is my favorite, and this gallery we could find several pieces with that kind of the art. Again the photo’s collection was my favorite, as well as last gallery, I’m sorry I forgot the autor`s name.

In summary I can say I chose pieces abstracts because the photo was the origin of the abstract art and the geometric figures also are representative of this expression.

Well, I think that’s all.
